Heating cables of pipelines

Description

Cables type KnMN6Fe

At the present time, our company produces load carrying heating cables designed for electric heating of oil wells equipped with centrifugal pumps, rod pumps or depth pumps. The cables also used for heating of injection wells and water wells. All cables can be adapted for customer’s needs.

We also produce heating cables for resistive and inductive-resistive heating developed by our partners.

The heating cables for the resistive heating the type KnMN6FE TU 3558-001-36253509-2011 developed by our partners OAO “NTC Energosberejenie" are designed for heating systems of extended objects of oil and gas industry. The cables also used for heating of concrete and iron-concrete, parts of building machines, roof surfaces, water conduits and other constructions parts.  Heat emission in resistive cable formed due Ohmic losses in the heating core of cable. These heating cables operate with voltage up to 660 V with specific dissipated power 30 W/m and they are ideal for heating of extended pipelines. 

Specifications

Below is an example of cable marking KnMNbFe with current conductor section 1,0 mm2, maximal voltage of direct current 1000 V (AC 660 V) and maximal heating temperature 260 oC.

  Main features of these cables are:

-  Current conductor of nickel-plated copper increases corrosion resistance of conductor and operating life of the cable;

-  Use of fluoropolymers for insulation and sheath increases operating temperature up to 260oC in contact with aggressive environment.

Heating cables for inductive-resistive heating type KnMNF TU 3558-001-36253509-20011 developed by our partners OAO “NTC Energosberejenie”, are designed for heating systems of extended objects of oil and gas industry. The cables also used for heating of concrete and iron-concrete, parts of building machines, roof surfaces, water conduits and other constructions parts. 

The system of electric heating with use of this cable on base of inductive-resistive heating is ideal for heating of long pipelines with medium and large diameter and allows to heat T-branches of pipelines (instead of heating with skin effect), locking devices, fire hydrants and other pipes.  With use of this method, it possible to perform heating from one power point with voltage 1 up to 6 kV with specific dissipated power 100 up to 165 W/m.

An example of designation by order of the cable KnMNF with current conductor section 16,0 mm2 is shown below;  maximal voltage of alternation current 3000 V and maximal temperature of heating 200oC:
