Heating cables of wells
Description
Cables type KGn
Load carrying heating cables KGn are designed for electric heating of oil wells equipped with electric centrifugal pumps, injection wells, water wells, by lowering of the cables directly in tubing to prevent an appearance of paraffin hydrates.
The cables KGn are developed on GOST R 51978-2002 “Load carrying armoured logging cables” and TU 3585-002-24118545-2004, certified and qualified by Federal Authority of Ecological Technological and Nuclear Control, covered by patent No 35823 of Russian Federation.

Cables type KnP
Since 2004, OOO “Pskovgeokabel” produces the cables for heating of wells equipped with rod or depth pumps through heating cables set outside of production tube. Heating cable is flat shaped and installed outside of production tubing same way as power cable for oil submersible pumps.
Despite less effective heat transfer of setting the cable this way, available data showed that these systems are fully compatible to prevent paraffin formation in wells equipped with rod depth pumps. The experience of periodical operation of installations is available, i.e. heating for 24 hours followed by several days of pause that coincides with circles of washing wells with hot oil, but use of hot oil is excluded now. Periodical mode is favorable saving the costs and power consumption. However, despite the fact that supplied equipment allows to choose this mode, possibility and parameters of periodical heating are selected by technical service of oil productive companies because in this case the most important factor is a composition of well fluid, percentage of paraffin content, rate of its formation etc.
